Description

Plötulopi from Lopi Island is the original Icelandic wool and is ideal for Icelandic sweaters with a very special texture and an authentic look. 

The wool is unspun and is supplied in 100 g plates. 

Before knitting, you should always wind the wool into a ball, as this makes it less likely to break. A wool winder is ideal for this. 

The wool is usually knitted with two strands - the weight is then roughly equivalent to Lettlopi. For this, it is best to wind a ball directly from 2 strands. Simply take the strand from the outside and inside of the plate. 

It also works beautifully combined with a mohair yarn as a carry-along strand. 

As unspun wool, Plötulopi is very delicate - it breaks very quickly and requires some practice to knit with. 

In return, you get unique knitted pieces and a special knitting experience.
